No thank you. 1.- Just one more season of Dexter not getting caught is a complete waste, after S4 Dexter becomes in a way a new character, that was the whole point of those later seasons and he finally being cured again at the finale when he decided not to kill Oliver which is something no one talks about. 2.- You as many people misunderstood Dexter’s character. It wouldn’t make sense for him to give out to his darkness after Rita’s death (although yes we was completely messed up as we saw), what you guys miss about him is his attachment to the code, he didn’t learn it, he was RAISED with it, he really believes in social justice although he enjoys killing. 3.-Following with the two first points, yes, the show dipped in quality after S4 but it’s still very underrated, the S8 finale was just great narratively, it was similar to S4 finale in the sense that Dexter was cured by Hannah (first by Rita) and with the help of Dr. Vogel, he was once again back to that moment when dumping Trinity in the ocean but now after deciding not to kill Oliver, that’s why the finale is so well written, this time he does de right thing by letting him be arrested (as he should have with Trinity revealing his identity to the police) BUT although he ends up killing him, he still loses and and this time loses Deb, that’s why that finale is so well written and he does what he almost did in S4, leaving Miami for good and let Harrison growing without him as a way of protecting, as he should have done with every person he was close to in the first place if he had to be a killer, that’s the whole point of the show, that’s why the finale made all the sense of the world.

Dude I love this version. Especially because New Blood came back, ended even worse than the original series, and basically sent us into an all new version of idealistic endings. I’ve heard a dozen ways that other people would’ve ended new blood, and I liked almost all of them more than the actual ending. But I haven’t actually heard many revisions of the series proper. This one is great because it’s more realistic, takes outside of Miami for once, and leaves Harrison in such a better situation with his aunt Deb caring for him rather than Hannah who ends up dying in New Blood leaving Harrison an orphan. We would get to see all of Dexter‘s coworkers’ reactions which is something that everybody was begging for in New Blood. And we get to see the ghost of Rita and Harry as Dexter passes, which would be very heartwarming and fitting. Seeing all of the characters in a scene where Dex finally dies, along with the series, would have been so much more satisfying than just seeing him die in the snowy woods because HIS OWN SON SHOT HIM!! What a travesty the real ending was 😪

I can't believe you didn't like season 7 with Ray Stevenson! I'm a true Dexter fan who owns the box set of every season. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've seen every episode? Over the years, I probably watched each episode over 20+ times. Dexter is by far my favorite show. I agree that the series ending sucked. Dexter should have went to Argentina with Hannah and Harrison. I also love Hannah McKay, unlike many other people lol. Anyway, I love every episode of every season, minus what happened to Deb & the ending. Everybody is different. Lastly, Dexter New Blood was OK. I'm not a big fan. Especially with the M99 and the full bullet being taken out of Deb like it was never shot lol. The ending for new blood is worse than the ending for Dexter! It was great to see Dexter & Deb, but it wasn't the same without the rest of the cast. Just my opinion.

Someone will disagree with what I am about to say but I don't particularly care; dexter kind of was the good guy( in the beginning) and the writers should have kept him that way concerning how he stuck to his father's code of going after bad people only; he could have ignored that and went after anyone he wanted at any time, he could have given in to the temptation of killing the security guard his brother had laid before him at the abandoned hospital or his sister at their childhood home but he chose to follow his father's rules despite his own issues with him because deep down he really didn't want to hurt innocent people and season after season was showing him striving to be a better person and was achieving that slowly especially with lumen in season 5 and brother sam in season 6, Hannah in season 7 Was the worst character ever thought of for her corruptive influence is what brought down Dexter's Integrity and ruined him from being the lovable and honorable character we all know from the books and earlier seasons, the show's 2 endings was I feel very disappointing because they wrote it and his character all wrong for he wouldn't have given in to his grief over the loss of his sister to where he would abandon his own son, sure he would be at his lowest for a minute but he would pull himself together and remember the promise he made to deb of how he would always be there for harrison no matter what and you can't sit there and convince me that a small town sheriff like his girlfriend angela would be able to bust a notorious killer like Dexter based on circumstantial evidence not to mention the tranquilizer formula is not the same; he never used kenimine on his targets he used M99, The writers should have continued adapting his story from the novels for they had tons of potential of doing and successfully pulling off a reverse breaking bad and the blacklist with the character, turning him into his very own sophisticated concierge of crime fighting with a vast network of resources at his disposal to help him hunt those that escape justice while keeping him 2 steps ahead of the people he works for in law enforcement who feels and views himself as the "the bad guy" that doesn't believe he can change but doesn't want to disappoint his father, his best friend angel, his wife, kids and sister by giving up trying with case after case and ultimate showdowns with the main antagonist of the season pushing him further and further down the path of being a honorable, righteous and semi-heroic individual with new blood being his swan song where he sacrifices himself to save his son, his son's girlfriend along with his own girlfriend from Kurt Caldwell, his son and the billionaire character they had in there that was serving as a red herring, have it where he had a connection to kurt and was involved somehow in covering up his secret of being the runaway killer and Dexter dying ending their threat once and for all thus earning his redemption which brings his story arc full circle with him ultimately breaking good, As for doakes the most annoying thing about him was his hypocritical attitude towards dexter when he tried to get him in trouble for just doing his job as a blood spatter specialist after he in an act of revenge shot dead a former death squad operative who was unarmed and tried to cover it up with lies which put his partner angel batista in a very uncomfortable situation of possibly turning him in to be arrested by IA until he was given a pass by the government, It should have been written and adapted according to the way it worked out in the books where they worked together to take down a cartel leader and doakes was severely maimed by the main antagonist dr danco to where he lost his legs and arms and tongue as a consequence for killing in cold blood that death squad operative who just so happened to be related to the villain, dexter tries to save him despite him knowing his secret but fails, he goes into a comma and dies later on in the 3rd season but Is revered as a hero cop and posthumously awarded a medal for risking his life to bring down dr danko who gets framed by Dexter as the Bay Harbor butcher, the same scenario can be applied but altered to the character Maria Laguerta, have the consequences of her actions in season 2 befall her in season 7 by having esme come back for revenge on laguerta for ruining her career by using her secret connections to the criminal underworld to frame her and make her look as if she's losing her mind like what laguerta did to her by sleeping with her boyfriend and have it where Debra is the one that tries to save her but fails with season 8 being the final season that deals with the fallout of that event and Dexter being the loving caring brother that he's been towards her trying to help her overcome the grief of laguerta's death all while dealing with the reign of terror from the brain surgeon, I say all of that to say that joe from the show YOU doesn't hold a candle to dexter and that dexter would have that despicable man for breakfast, lunch and dinner to feed the very jackels he came from! 🔥😁😉👍

This is my movie of all time ❤ The dynamics between the 4 actors playing the 4 Bees is incredibly realistic to real marines. I loved how Rose was a strong well rounded character and Eddie eventually showed vulnerability, letting the macho facade go with Rose. Amazing work from River Phoenix (RIP), Lily Taylor, and the director, Nancy Savoca 🫶🏼

This is a video I was hoping to make one day. I have been working in film for two decades now, have always been a movie buff, but the first time I saw Jeremy Davies on screen was a real revelation. I have never identified with people on screen, not really. Empathised, yes, but they were not me. And then all of a sudden, amids all these good-looking actors stating their decisive and clever lines, there is this guy who mumbles half-sentences, makes sudden and awkward pauses, who really struggles sometimes to find the right words... in almost every film he totally sticks out between all those "actors" by being the only real person. It took me a long time to understand that he did not invent this, that this is a tried and tested technique found in Cassavettes movies, and with Peter Falk and in the 90s Indie scene in Linklater films and more recently in the mumblecore movement, but Jeremy Davies still is a one-in-a-million unique character actor. I think it's a sign that European master directors and US indie legends love to cast him, like von Trier, Wenders, Herzog, Lynch, etc. I recommend Soderberghs "Solaris" (where there actually is an in-movie explanation of why he is that way), Wenders' "Million Dollar Hotel" (a rare leading role for him, and a deeply touching one) and Shainbergs's "Secretary"

Loved this movie so much when I saw it that I ended up buying it on DVD and now I just own it streaming with Amazon prime. I went after the soundtrack which was difficult. A dogfight was filmed in both San Francisco and Seattle Washington. I saw out most of the locations even the mechanical museum, which has been moved. It is no longer at the Cliff house. But the restaurant scene was filmed at the Sorrento Hotel the movie theater was the Paramount in Seattle not the Oakland one. And the actual dogfight was down in Belltown near the Moore theater.that’s how much I love this film. I wanted to find roses restaurant and I was told it was in the Ballard district of Seattle, but I couldn’t find it.

Interesting take on a seemingly underrated classic. Somewhat disagree in regards to production limitation on gore and violence. Note, The Omen - 1976. As an adult of 52 years I recently watched Dark Night of the Scarecrow for the 2nd time " the first time having been at the age of 9 yrs". Honestly as I watched I somehow knew quite accurately what was going to happen at every turn as the story played out, that speaks volumes to the impression left on me from childhood. Must have absolutely terrified me to no end, haha. Interestingly I find the fear factor in this movie to be heads and shoulders above the junk they put out today🤷‍♂️. Theater of the mind wasn't always relative to radio. Creators had a unique ability back in the day to facilitate a thought of horror by giving the observers just enough eye candy to start and keep our minds adding to the mystique. To me that was the scariest type of movie. Fun note, isn't it interesting that Dark Night of the Scarecrow would appear to have come straight from the mind of one of horrors greatest all time authors? Let's face it, the film has Stephen King all over it! Yet, he had nothing to do with it. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

  • @TheNitroG1

This movie is written terribly. The entire plot contradicted itself at multiple points. Is the blonde he is searching for alive? Because she was pretty clear about being at his funeral for one thing and also stated the reason she joined the cult was because of a string of events after his passing. Have his parents been standing there arguing with medical staff for months? Because both in the real world and in the afterlife they explain that months have passed but when he wakes up...they are in the background like they just found him and it's only been hours. Ironically the only way I can see this plot resolving logically is, none of it happened, it was a delusional episode from loss of blood, they aren't in love. He is smiling because of the delusional state he is in making him think he recognized her and she is smiling because she is high as a kite.

I thought it was pretty clear that zia had been there a while longer before the desiree killed herself. Perfectly plausible for her to have been at his funeral and then commit suicide months later🤷‍♀️.
